I don't know why I named this blog "How Firm a Foundation"-it's just what came to me as the most important gift I have. The foundation of faith in a God who is able to meet all of our needs abundantly above and beyond our wildest dreams; the foundation of a family that provides love and encouragement at every turn; the foundation of an upbringing that provided the security and building blocks of all that i needed to thrive; the foundation of a good education so that I can help provide for our family.
Over the past year or 2 my most consistent prayer has been that I would know the "mind of Christ" in every situation. It seems a hugely conceited thing to think that i could possibly know the "mind of Christ" yet the Bible tells us that we are that we are created in his image and that we are to become more like him as we grow in knowledge and grace. I shudder to think that I could even be a shadow of His presence, and yet He tells us that we are to be the light and salt. . . wow . . . can it be true that He is able to take us in our weakest moments and mold us into His vessels.
I pray for the new year that I will be in constant communion with God through his Holy Spirit. I can't think of any better New Year's resolution.

Welcome to blogging, Jane! Much easier than clogging, and less work than jogging. Blogging is a blast! It's a great way to keep up with everyone. It also gives us all a chance to "publish" something. That's my favorite part.

Oh, you two are my favorite cloggers, I mean bloggers! If we were joggers, however, we would be in better shape but we wouldn't have much time to be bloggers if we were cloggers or joggers. We do have our priorities.........
